Dave is a senior commercial marketing leader with a track record of building talented teams, creating effective marketing strategies and delivering profitable growth.
Having spent 15 years leading Google’s marketing teams, Dave established an effective blend of brand strategy and growth marketing. During this time he launched Google’s Cloud business and helped the first 5 million businesses to ‘Go Google’. Upon returning from California, he built Google’s EMEA Brand Studio, winning a D&AD pencil and several Webby awards. Dave then went on to lead Google’s EMEA consumer marketing organisation across 65 markets where he delivered profitable growth for products like Search and Maps across Europe, the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa.

During his 8 years as Director of Marketing at Google, Graham helped Google become one of the most loved brands in the UK and EMEA.
He led brand and creative strategy for Search, Pixel and Brand Reputation across film, digital and activation - winning multiple awards including ‘Cannes Creative Marketer of the Year’.
In 2021, he joined Abcam PLC, the global Life Science brand where he led their new brand repositioning, creative strategy, PR and social content approach.
Graham is a Marketing Trustee for ‘Sport in Mind’, the mental health charity, and one of Campaign’s Top 100 marketers.

We know how to help people relate to and understand new technologies like AI so that “the extraordinary feels ordinary”. We were the team who drove widespread adoption of the Google Search app and the Google Assistant.

Building meaning and emotion into a new product or a brand idea is something we did repeatedly at Google. We helped to humanise Google Search and Maps in the UK, Germany and France through film, activations, product marketing and partnerships.

Helping people discover the everyday utility of new products and features starts with deep user insights. When we launched the Google Assistant on mobile, we used data science to identify strong use cases and then brought these to life through contextual ads that created high levels of engagement.

Building scalable marketing strategies that deliver growth needs an integrated go to market strategy that’s different and measurable. We’ve done everything from doubling B2B revenue for Google Workspace through to bringing millions of new people to use Google Search in new markets.

Landing your brand in a new market with authenticity means rethinking how you communicate. We were the marketing leads who found the right ways to translate Google Search into the culture of Sub-Saharan Africa and expanded Google’s Cloud business globally.

Driving adoption and revenue growth with B2B products involves connecting how people ‘feel’ about a brand alongside the functional benefits. We have worked across a wide range of categories where we’ve injected emotion into highly functional products like Google Docs.

Took on the workplace software giants
Traditional ‘Office’ tools were slowing people down and killing productivity. Google Workspace was designed to change that. So we focused everything on real-time collaboration to cut through the clutter, liberate people from the desktop and unlock massive commercial growth.
Helped build one of the world’s most loved brands
Google believes tech is a force for good and demonstrated this through its commitment to UK jobs and reminding people of the magic of search they took for granted. We showcased the everyday ways that search improves people’s lives and built a digital skills training platform that trained more than 1m people.
Created a new brand story that redefined an established B2B business
Working with Board Intelligence, we discovered that the science of board effectiveness is their unique IP and should become their core marketing idea. It’s now the red thread across everything they do.
Defined a bold new vision for a global sustainability brand
We defined a product-led vision for EcoVadis and embedded it across their business, helping customers understand why they radically outperform competitors at every touchpoint.
